Allegiant

Allegiant by Veronica Roth

Summery-

Everyone knows the truth. Everyone now knows that there is a world outside the city walls. Everyone knows that whatever is beyond those walls has to do with a person who possibly live over a hundred years ago. A woman with the name of Edith Prior.
Locked away in Erudite headquarters Tris (Beatrice) Prior is about to be injected with the truth serum, in hope that she will reveal everything she knows. However, Tris is immune to the truth serum given to her and chooses to reveal nothing and even lie to protect her friends.

Now that she is free, Tris and her boyfriend Tobias (Four), begin to hatch a plan to escape the Erudite headquarters for the unseen world. Just as this plan begins to form an un-expectant group makes their entry.  The Allegiant. A group fighting against disbanding factions that has been put into place by their new ruler Evelyn Eaton.

Even more eager to escape, Tris, Tobias, Uriah, and Christina, hatch a plan that involves breaking Caleb Prior out of jail, escaping functionless guards, and surviving beyond the wall.
What is out there? Are there people like themselves, looking to escape the society that is being formed? Or is there a entire different group of people, just waiting? And the most important question.....
Who will live?

My Thoughts-

This book was, interesting, I found it a little hard to start. But that may have been because I haven't read any of the others since August, so my memory was slightly hazy.

I am going to attempt not to give away too much of the book for those who have not read it yet, but beware there may be things you do not wish to know yet.

The beginning of the book was confusing at first, then I caught up and became un-confused. The love story is as strong as ever, but it has a few bumps at the beginning. After walking into Erudite headquarters willing Tobias seems less than happy with Tris. Hell, I wouldn't have been surprised if he was downright pissed and didn't speak to her for a month.

After all of these romantic hiccups are out of the way, the Allegiant makes their entrance. Now I know that they believe that what they are doing is right. But do they really think they could reclaim the sitting and be any better than Jeanine Matthews, or even Evelyn?

OK, if you have NOT read the book I would encourage you to stop reading right about now, unless you reallyyyyyyyyy want to know.

Outside the walls of the city there lies a secret compound issued by the government. (Yes, the United States government.) Structured for the city to help make the Genetically Pure (G.P.) from the Genetically Damaged (G.D.) and there are people inside the compound that do not agree with that.

Okay, let me just say, there should be no such thing as a "perfect" person or a "healed" person in the terms of genetics. Everyone is different and that is the way it should be.

I think that was all of my issues. But let me just say, this was one of the saddest books I have ever read in my entire life. I never thought that I could cry so much over a death of a character. But then again I cried in Les Mis (the entire movie from the point when Fauntine died to the very end).

Veronica Roth did an amazing job in making sure her audiences were appeased with the book and where the story went. I would wish to give her a high five for the that. At school it is the only thing that I hear people talking about.

Overall I give this book a 4.5 out of 5 stars.

Hope to have you reading again soon,
Paige

Confessions: Private School Murders

Confessions: The Private School Murders
By: James Patterson and Maxine Paetro

Summery
Now that Malcum and Maud's mysterious death has been unearthed Tandy has a new mystery, three actually. Who really killed her brother's famous girlfriend, or was it Matt himself? What happened to James, the boy who was taken from her and disappeared? And who is now murdering the girls from elite private schools around the city?

Tandy takes it into her own hands to discover theses three mysteries, but can she do that when it seems as if someone it attempting to kill her also? Will she be the savor of the next victim? Or will she become one herself?

My Thoughts

I love all of James Patterson's books and was not disappointed by what I found in this book. The main character Tandy makes everyone wish they were a little bit smarter and a little bit more wild. Being one of New York's top celebrities with her parents murder and then her brother's, Matt, trial coming up it was amazing how the authors made the book work with the press and the knowledge of the court system.

The length of the book was perfect, it did not feel like it was dragging on and it did not feel like it went by too fast. The ending felt a little long after the trial was over and the Private School Murders has been solved, but you also felt as if there were loose ends left in New York when the Angels left, but there were also loose ends elsewhere that were more important.

This is the second book I had read with the co-author Maxine Paetro and I can look forward to reading more of her work in the future. Her style adds more to the book. I have recently been reading more of James Patterson and the writing style between this book and the ones I have been reading lately (Alex Cross series) is completely different, okay maybe not completely, but enough to the point that people can see the difference.

Overall I give this book a 4.5 out of 5 stars.

Below I have posted a book trailer of the first Confessions novel called Confessions of a Murder Suspect. I hope you like it..

Hope to have you reading again soon,

Revealed Review

Revealed
By P.C. and Kristin Cast

Summery-
In this installment of the House of Night series, Zoey is tested in ways that she has never been tested before. Now that her first love, Heath, has returned to her once again Zoey feels like her life feels somewhat right. In the little moments when Aurox's/Heath's spirit shows Zoey feels like her life isn't always as terrible as it has been in the past. But with the gift that showed Zoey who Aurox truly is there is a great burden. Before she knows it Zoey is snapping out at people who she loves the most when they are mourning a horrific loss and she very well be going off the deep end with her sanity. Will Aphrodite's new and approved vision of Zoey's future come true? Or will Zoey realize just in time that a blessing is also a curse? Find out in the penultimate (second to last) book of the series.

What I Think-
This was an amazing book. Before I read this book I had read all of the previous books and let me say. This one is following in the footsteps of Hunted and Destined  in being one of the best books of the series. I could not put this book down........Okay, now that I am done gushing about this book let me get on with the review.

My first paragraph is going to be to you new readers to this series and the old ones too. This book has helped me a little with the characters, you get to see who everybody, especially Shaunee, without Erin. Spoiler alert, something bad happens. (Not saying what though :P)

One thing has bothered me throughout the entire series is Zoey, I like her, she is a really good character, but sometimes she seems like a little bit of a whiner. And it is not just me who thinks this, most of my friends who have read this series agree with me also.

This book sets everything up for the epic battle that is looming in the next and final book of the series. You really get to know Neferet in this book, even more so than in the novella Neferet's Curse, which is about Emily and her journey to become Neferet. You come to see how she met Kalona and how she started to turn from Nyx.

You will also see sides of Zoey that you never thought you would see in a million years. The same goes with Kalona, everyone always hated him, but in this book you will see that he is worth forgiving.

Now, before I end my review let me say, I really wish this series would never end. Thank-you P.C. and Kristin Cast for writing this for us.

This book is getting a 4.5 out of 5 stars, because I don't know how to actually do the star thing you are just getting a number.

Hope to have you reading again soon,

Divergent Review

Divergent by Veronica Roth

Summery
Tris is nothing special, at least not at first. She has average looks, feels like nothing she does is right in her current faction, and is scared beyond belief. The book starts the day of the aptitude test, when Beatrice is sitting in front of the mirror for the first time in a year. That day is the day that Beatrice will take a test that will decide her future. When her results come in she is no longer average. She finds out that she is Divergent. Now Beatrice, called Tris when she chooses her new faction, must find her way through the initiation without letting anyone find out what she is.

My Thoughts
Okay, I would just like to say this was just as good, if not better than the Hunger Games. Everything about this book was absolutely perfect.

I liked how this book picked up as soon as you read the first line. I was addicted to the book by the end of the first page.

The one thing about this book that kind of confused me was that Veronica never really explained why it was so dangerous to be divergent, at least not until the end of the book and that bugged me. I don't know why, but maybe it is just my personality.

Overall I give this book a 4.5 out of 5. (Awesome, right?) I really do recommend this book to lovers of the Hunger Games.

Hope to have you reading again soon,
